Welcome to a horror game that REALLY took me by surprise. This is a game called [REC] Paroxysm. We take thr role of a horror content creator setting out to try and capture some paranormal stuff on camera. We get WAY more than we bargained for.

Ngl, seeing the lady standing outside and then seeing her *sprint* to the door was genuinely terrifying. Like, we've all seen them peek around corners, or seen shadow people in doorways. But it's been a while since we've seen a scare like that, it's not running directly towards you, but you know it's coming, it's out of sight, and you don't know when it'll catch up. *That's* scary. I like that. Very well done game.

horror game idea: Tik-Tok trend of doing a summoning ritual for a ghost rises among the youth, with lots of videos attempting it, and all of them being debunked as fakes
you, a well-known channel, attempted this challenge too, but yours worked, because by some miracle, you did the ritual in the same place it died, and now you have to survive
ending 1: you don't manage to escape
ending 2: you managed to escape with the footage, but when you upload it, the ghost can't be seen on camera and all the fans now call you a fake, which drives you to delete the channel and vanish from family, friends, and the internet, obsessing over finding the ghost again but to no avail
ending 3: you managed to escape with the footage, and when you upload it, the ghost is seen, all the world is debating whether or not your footage is real, and an entire team is brought to exorcise the ghost live on TV for the world to see, the ghost is now gone without knowing its motives, and so you rebrand your channel as a ghost hunter
ending 4: you figure out the ghost's identity, by doing so the ghost is now free, you go back next morning to your channel posting an apology due to corrupted footage, and claiming there was nothing worth uploading, to which the fans are divided, half of them calling you out, the other half saying the challenge is childish and understand, the TV shows a breaking news of a famous politician found beheaded, as you go to the fridge to pick up a snack, you find the head inside but you aren't fazed, since that was the ghost's killer, which was seen in tapes and notes describing his twisted sickening torture performed on the ghost, and you end the game with the line: "Deserved, shithead" and slam the fridge door

This game reminds the game "from the darkness"
AND YOU NEED TO PLAY "THE RESONATOR ORIGINS" in this game if you want hints what to do next you need to zoom outside the window (I recommend to do it many times, many people that play the full game didn't notice the stuff was happening outside)

seeing ryan getting so sweaty just proves how tense these types of games seem to be. i remember a russian horror game with a similar style to this. i would only play these if i had someone next to me giving comfort cuz this is so mentally draining even thru the video
