Some 500 relatives of people who disappeared with flight MH370 have held a memorial event in Malaysia ahead of the tragedy's tenth anniversary. 239 passengers and crew, most of them Chinese, were lost in 2014. After the most extensive search in aviation history, the plane's disappearance remains a mystery. Even though the official search ended years ago, some victims' relatives refuse to give up.

This must be the most covered aviation story of all time. What was the need for this "interview" between two apparently equally clueless people?!

The 'Engineering Expert' added absolutely nothing...nothing....that was useful....

Why waste time asking this guy in Liverpool who didn't say anything useful

The biggest pieces of evidence that incriminate the pilot are: he changed direction exactly when he was switching airspace, he flew the plane between the border of Malaysia and Thailand to create confusion over who was supposed to be monitoring that, he took an unnecessary turn to see the Island of Penang where he was originally from, he had a similar route planned in his simulator at home.

DW is really desperate to find any "expert" to interview for this. Anyone on the street just about as qualified as this EE professor.

Imagine having that man as university lecturer. I would fall asleep every time.

This reminds me about the Chinese government earlier *arguing and refusing* to share the cost of extra search for the MH370 plane with the Malaysian government.
- Most of the passengers on the plane were Chinese nationals.

The guy's communication skills are really bad. His English is actually not bad, but his ability to communicate his thoughts is really disappointing.

MH370 did not crash into the ocean. We now have four system that would have heard it:

* The SOSUS system, which heard the Titan sub pop and the Navy lied about it for 5 days.
* The JORN system which is Indonesia's detection system
* Australia's West coast had hydrophones that would have detected a crash in the South Indian Ocean
* And Diego Garcia's hydrophone system which has 25 minutes of missing data and no impact detection.

Might pay to screen your 'experts' before you bring them on. I learned nothing new from this video.

why interview that professor who clearly knows less about it than the general public. everyone know the pilot did it

Is no mystery. The pilot shut all the tracking down and flew it into the sea. No-brainer.

odd since the Chinese themselves never made their an effort to find the plane.

I'm sorry I have to ask this but why is someone with his English language proficiency in a professorship in the UK? Also why ask a electrical engineer about a lost aircraft?

10 years on, why is China 🇨🇳 still pushing Malaysia for the search of the MH370 while it has been trying to cover up its own flight MU5735 accident?
The accident was 2 years ago at China Eastern Airline with 132 people on board, and both blackboxes recovered intact.

For me its clear that something big is being covered up. Some governments know what happened here, and led this plane to a certain location for some certain reasons...

An ABC (Australia) report from yesterday says using amateur radio signals has reduced the target search area dramatically.

Loss is terrible thing. That one man says he is optimistic the Plane will still be found. But no one is searching for it anymore, I am doubtful it will ever be found in that huge vast ocean! They searched for years and spent millions. What more do people expect?

How many militia ships has China 🇨🇳 deployed, and how many man-made islands did it build in the South China Sea?
But China couldn't share the cost of searching the MH370 for its citizens.

what? why areyou still pretending to know nothing? everybody knows what happened, we just don't know where in a large ocean area the plane came down.
