"Don't do this" and "Don't tell me what to do!" followed by "Don't do this" is pretty much intergenerational learning in a nutshell

The problem's very obviously that nobody actually described the taste. Obviously everyone's gonna be curious and they'll try it. This is like one of the main rules of telling a child to do something or refrain from doing something.

The problem is that they're saying 'don't do this' without elaborating. It's the opposite of the Angry Video Game Nerd. Instead of saying why a thing is bad so no one needs to go through it, they're only saying that it's bad so we have no choice but to do it to know why it's so bad.

This makes me think of thioacetone, a simple chemical that was only made twice. The first time was in 1889. It isnt poisonous but smells so bad everyone in the building vomited and the city had to be evacuated. Almost a century later in 1967 someone said that it couldn't be that bad and repeated it with the same results.

Edit: So I've been told by my sibling, who actually had battery acid spaghetti. Yeah, they agreed with the others. Don't Do This (I still might try it just to try it)
Double Edit: It's been a while ago since I've found a way to try this. Apparently what I used is the safest bet, as it didn't have the sour crystals that other sour things used that makes the acid spaghetti so horrid to the stomach. At least, that's what the sibling told me with what is it. So I didn't have the 'Don't Eat This' experience. If you want a safer option, I guess the sour fruit roll-ups is the way to go?

This reminds me of the worst food experiment I ever tried. When I was a young teen I went "Barbecue sauce works with beef, a product of a cow. Dairy is also a product of a cow. I'm going to put barbecue sauce on ice cream.", I suspect actual poop would taste better.

Right, the reason why you shouldnt do this is basically because it’s like coke and mentos but longer, with the sour pellets as mentos, and the carbonated drink (like coke) just releases carbon, thus when you drink it… don’t do this. (Unless your into that kinda stuff???)

I remember seeing a version of that reblog chain where someone actually went ahead and explained /why/ you shouldn't Do This. Unfortunately I can't find it anymore, but I vaguely recall something about this concoction making your mouth incredibly uncomfortable.

Sometimes I think that I'm getting the wrong picture of Tumblr watching your and PM Seymour's videos, as I don't really get the feeling of HELLSITE from its contemporary version. These posts are ususally fun, wholesome and/or VERY stupid, like this one, and I can't help but wonder what I am missing that would earn it that title
