I tried this a year ago, I say it holds up pretty nice. Now I can hear the muffler becoming loud again after a year will need to slap some more on soon.

I've been thinking about mixing Furnace cement with JB Weld putty to make it more cohesive, and to use clamp butt on top of it, cause I need to join the two resonator pipes together at a seam where it rusted out. Any thoughts how that might work out? Thanks

How long did that last? I’m trying this around my manifold that has a few threaded bolts

Been there done that. Works if you can cover it and clamp it down. Try JB weld extreme temp stuff which says on and lasts.

what's a better mix for the furnace cement fiber glass or steel wool ? And how long did it hold up ??
