Unfortunately when I tried to open a movie file from the phone, the program started to copy it to the phone instead of just open it. Finally I realized that VLC can also access the shared folder and do not try to copy the files, just play it.

I was doing the same thing as you shown in the video and it was working well but from the last 2-3 days I am getting some issue while transferring the files from shared folder to my phone.. Everytime when I am moving the items from shared folder to android phone getting this error msg "Can't Move".. Even files are showing up in phone of shared folder and I am unable to find out the solution yet.. if you could help me to solve this issue I would be thankful to you..

i wonder if you working with laptop, then maybe you can connect your laptop to your android hotspot tethering with same method. the Remote function is basically connect to any local networking. i haven't try tho

But how do you get files into the folder from your phone so you can send it to pc.

I know its a minor gripe but i had to set up a pword or it wouldnt work when there is none because the sharing app doesn't allow empty

i'm becoming insane to accomplish shares.

my android devices (both phone and tablet) correctly see the Desktop PC containing the shares.
But when I try connecting to it, I get "could not connect to device with user .."
I've tried using my Desktop PC credentials, no dice.
Also tried removing password protected shares altogether and connecting as anonymous, no dice again.
I'm on the verge of activating SMB1 component on the W10 desktop, but i'm not sure it will change anything.

If there's some other way, pls advice.

You don't need another application for this.
This feature is already implemented into My files app.
Also trusting a 3rd party app to access your files isn't safe at all.

where u can get the Username and Password? im still trying it with different password and emails and usernames but it doesn't work, i have my computer connected to Microsoft but when i enter Username and Password from my Microsoft account it doesn't work even if i replace the Username with my email, so please help me
