Thank you Doctor Shabir. Interesting as always. As a Christian I read in the Bible that it was Satan's pride that caused his rebellion, which I guess is not far removed what the doctor is saying. Two informative parts of the Bible are Isaiah 12:12-14 and Ezekiel 28:14-15. These say that he wanted be like God Isaiah 14:13 “But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven. I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north.’ 14 ‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds. I will make myself like the Most High.’”. So we see what brings Satan also is the cause of man's continued rejection of God. Pride is the damning sin of man.

We have been taught that when a victorious Muslim army entered a defeated city they were advised to make sujud upon their horses neck as they entered the defeated city. In that instance the horses neck was the earth upon which they made prostration before Allah SWT. It would seem that mankind was the earth upon which the unseen ones ( angels and jinn ) were commanded to make their prostration before Allah SWT. Iblis (Satan) refused to make prostration upon the earthen creature called Adam. In so doing he became the accursed.

I hope to god someone answers my question in a way that makes sense and is enough of an answer to me. My question is how could any being see/talk to god directly, know all his power and literally no more confirmation needed since he spoke with god. and still disobey him? what does satan know or think it makes no sense at all why he would not obey instantly. As humans if we saw/talked to god directly (back and forth) it would require no faith anymore and we would all do good and not do bad so why did satan or even could do it? Big Ego is not convincing me as an answer for it makes no sense

If Sujood does not mean to physically prostrate to Adam, how did the angels obey the command of Allah? Did they not simply make a sujood to Allah's chosen Khalifa on earth whereas Iblis declined to prostrate to Adam?

The Roman's still do worship Virgin Mary after she had a 4 kids denied birthrights. Was she not described as a Vessel not a God nor prophet. This is why the Jews don't carry the Roman's crucifix cross they didn't want to worship Mary either under Roman Empire laws. The Roman's would feed Christians to the Lions of whom oppose Roman laws and denied Mary.

In the Christian tradition, Satan fell because he wanted to take God's place, he led 1/3 of the angels in rebellion against God. These angels became the demons.

Is there a mistranslation in the Quran or I’m I just confused? The Quran says Satan was a angel but then he would never disobey god. But it also says Satan is jinn which is it? I’m

Sounds like folk take, .or fairy tale, Satan now keeps pestering us for that one act, doesn't make any sense, but I guess we need to accept this because scripture says so

My take on why god may have ask all other creation to bow down to Adam maybe because it was mankind who was willing to bare the alamama (the trust).

Jesus made it very clear in the bible over and over but muslims have to say its currpted other wise they would have to question the quran yet they cant prove the bible is currpeted when did it happen and where
