Put the link to the full podcast in the goddamn description or pin it to the comments. I don't have all day and there's other interesting shit to watch that competes with your channel.

It seems, the approach now should be to try to recover all the anti-gravity research that is in the public domain -- including the weird stuff -- and try to replicate and demonstrate the effects. Certainly, ionic thrust has been replicated. What about the wedding-cake coil mentioned by Stan Deyo? Lorentz-O. If you can show physical effects in a lab, then the physicists are informed about the math.

Since when is Witten the father of antigravity, Townsend Brown is the reason why they have browns equation for fucksake

Like the old boy with the gravity problem on Interstellar.

I've suspected for a while now that something like this might have happened to physics.

Why don't you ever give a link to the original video?

Why does the amount of force applied to a drum skin determine its pitch? Is that important? Yes, if it determines what particle will be created, and for how long. ST explains GR.

This channel is full of comprehensive what-ifs.

This doesn't diminish the significance of string theory within theoretical physics. Many groundbreaking theories and concepts in physics, such as the existence of the Higgs boson, were initially proposed theoretically and later confirmed through experimentation. String theory could potentially provide profound insights into the fundamental nature of the universe, but realizing these insights through experimental tests is a complex and ongoing challenge.

Based on this alone, I’d augment that string theory is a powerful concept and remains the subject of active research and discussion within the scientific community for good reason.

Jesse Michel doesn’t understand it well enough to argue about it. Remember this man is running a YouTube channel and requires an air of dramatic quality within his work to keep you coming back. And it seems to be working for many.

Aliens.
... they don't have the Sophon, but they have Wittens.

Oh no, a scientist who is a conspiracy theorist...Sure Witten worked endlessly on calculations, while he knew it made no sense. Yeah... it is called projecting your own insanity.

It’s half and half. The idea of the string makes the most sense so far.

Hello.

Now you're getting cheeky.

Oh relationsships.

Familial or financial...hmmmm.

Good luck.

I don’t think Eric’s claim is that string theory was created with the intent to stagnate physics… rather he’s saying that its most zealous supporters have caused all the resources available to be put into it, thus starving any competing theories, and the effect of that is stagnating physics.

TL;DR- String theory wasn’t some anti-progress conspiracy, but the effect of its prominence has been stagnation.

If only one could and would be honest, that would be the day.

then come up with better ideas and release them in a paper for peer review.

What would the point of stagnating the physics community be?

This dude has all the answers and none of the solutions. If he’s so brilliant why not reveal more factual information

He’s only saying that bc he has a competing theory that’s more marketable to the less educated.

string theory never intuited well for me.

If you had any doubts, that intelligence is definitely genetic, here’s another great example.
