How to Stop or Start MySQL Server on Windows Machine
When you install MySQL Server on Windows Machine, the Service is installed with name MySQLXX, XX is version. Let's say if you have installed 8.0 then your MySQL Service name will be MySQL80, In case if you have installed MySQL 5.7, then Service name will be MySQL57.

The Service name can be different as well, depend upon the person who have installed the MySQL on Windows Server if he/she has choosed different name for Service.

To Stop the MySQL Service or Start the MySQL Service, you will go search Services in windows. Once the Services are open, locate MySQL Service and then Right click and Stop or Start.

thanks for the short tutorial, i had a problem with my mysql workbench where it would not stop the server through the work bench and just stop responding, this takes a bit longer but works as expected .

In mysql there is no option stop, restart and its not starting.
