How to Use the Auto Start Stop Function | BMW How-To

Lowering the fuel your BMW uses is made easy with the auto stop start function. This system automatically shuts down and restarts the engine to minimize the amount of time the engine spends idling, at the same time reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

The engine only stops when it's feasible, and certain criteria is met. Disable this function in your BMW by pressing the switch close to the start/stop button.

No turn off switch for my 2021 X7. I hate this feature and wish I could turn it off permanently.

The switch button is gone... I hate the auto start/stop future and having to use the sport mode to get rid of it it's ridiculous.

Even though you posted this video today, it's out of date. BMW deleted the switch to turn the start stop feature off for the 2021 model year. Also they deleted the front fog lights for the 2022 model year to save money. Not something a so called luxury brand should do.
