I can only imagine how beautiful this home was when it was well cared for. I wish a salvage crew could go through and remove some of the beautiful and aged items that are irreplaceable. I saw light fixtures, doors, door hardware, a mirror and more that I would think could be of interest.

The furnace is from the 1930s I know because I have one in my house that's still working just fine I was even told by the oil company not to replace it because I wouldn't save enough money on the replacement to justify the expense

This was a beautiful home in the day! Has a lot of very cool feature’s! So sad it’s in terrible shape & being demolished! Awesome video as always! 👍👍❤️🤘

10:32, that would steam and press dry clothes from back in the 20s and 30s

That's an old boiler at 12:06, not a warm air furnace (despite the label). It was originally heated with coal and then at some point was converted to natural gas. You can see the original cast iron radiators throughout the house.

You have to push the thumb lever down to open those doors.

Love the dark wood in this house. Gothic, my favorite. Beautiful house. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I wish there was a way they would let restoration companies at least take the doors to preserve them and use them on other projects.

That Arco furnace is just like the one that scares Kevin McAllister in the movie “Home Alone” it would have been coal fired originally and later converted to run off oil. The door you opened at the bottom is where you would shovel the coal in to fuel it. As for that strange looking thing in the other room; that was a special laundry press which allowed you to wring the water out of wet clothes and sheets before dryers were invented.

What a shame to let this house get in such a bad shape!! The wood is just amazing!! I would love to see it in its original glory ❤ They just dont build them like that anymore!! You did a great job on this video!! Be safe!! Pam in Illinois 😊

Would be cool if you showed some exterior shots of the property and not just a thumbnail before you start the inside so we have some idea of the place your showing.

....Thanks for the upload though!😁👍

I believe the one door you couldn't open on the second floor was to the attic. With the original door handles on those doors you would place your thumb on the part over the handle and push down that released the latch mechanism on the door to open it. Too bad, a once beautiful house could have been restored, and been a beautiful updated home it was certainly built good. Thanks Noah for showing us this 1920's gem.

It must be so haunted to be abandoned like that! It's always so sad that the houses are all alone and unloved. I think I am anthropomorphizing things again. 😁

What a shame it’s just the land that was brought and not the house, probably be demolished 😢love the original features, with the wood beams if feels like a typical Tudor home even though it’s 1930s love this video ❤

This place has beautiful craftsmanship and I am in love with the chandelier and sconces in the dining room but it gives me the creeps!
