This is exciting stuff!! Granted, the footage provided isn't necessarily the most amazing but the fact that Congress is finally making it a point to actually acknowledge publicly that, "Yes, there is unknown stuff out there. No, we don't know what it is" is pretty historic.

Anything is possible but it wouldn't surprise me if they were man-made technology, possible weapons platforms and reconnaissance vehicles with experimental propulsion systems. And if they are, I would want to operate mine in a remote location, like over the ocean so it didn't crash in someone's backyard where they could get photos and I would have to explain it. Just a thought.

Within a biblical context, this phenomenon was attributed to the 'gods', 'angels' and 'elohim'. It's actually challenging to study the ufo/uap phenomenon and not eventually notice that it meshes oddly well with much of ancient historic accounts. And doesn't it stand to reason? Isn't it logic to conclude that an 'agency' with 'technology' that is orders-of-magnitude ahead of our own would be ruling with unchallengeable invincibility? Given the known size and timescales of our cosmos, wouldn't it be far more likely that they've been here for millenia rather than decades? And if they have always been with us, then our story is theirs too, which would naturally make it more difficult to define their influence and presence among us.

Philosophy and Science have parted ways some time ago, I get that. I do understand why they did - I myself don't give too much thought to myth when I'm aiming my telescope mount at Polaris. It still bothers me though that the answer to this phenomenon may be hiding in a forgotten overlap between these two fields of thought, and that the stubborn division between these parties (almost like politics) will forever obscure our view of a crystal answer.

What a shockingly misleading summary of this hearing. They clearly explained the green video, and indicated that it's likely the object "zooming" by the F18 was moving very slowly (the apparent speed being that of the plane, not the object).

One of the few times that I have seen Congress asking good questions, and seeming to actually be out of the loop and wanting to know what is going on.
I think that closed door hearing was telling Congress that they are able to go underwater, and that is a giant leap forward, not because they can go underwater, but because they have propulsion that works in the air, and underwater. This would mean it would also work in space. Most likely they are using magnetic propulsion systems. I have seen these types of systems back in the 80s, but they were just finding out how to use magnetic fields to move objects. Obviously they have come many generations since then.
I wonder how much energy they can store, and how long the flight time is on a single charge, or if they have a power source on board, like a nuclear power source, like we use in satellites.

It would make sense. And being unmanned they would be safe, providing no one shoots one down.
