But why release them now - and what else might they have?

I dont know if this event is real or not, but one time my grandparents told me one night they saw a circular object just flying slowly in the distance and then it just dissapeared. It wouldnt be a star since there is no way it dissapears like that, gives me chills every time i remember this.
