Thank you for putting this course online. Very, very well done. I was born and brought up in Italy, we studied classical Latin at school - before they made the curriculum easier in 1962. So I am one of the last of the old school, when we studied Latin at the Liceo Classico very intensively, for several hours, every day, and we translated from original Latin literature. Now 73 years old, I find that I have forgotten many words. It is a joy to follow your course, even if it is elementary, because it puts me back in touch with that great language. And wonderful to see that there are still many people interested in learning it.

You are right about ancient Latin having a hard C and G. In church Latin they were softened to make singing in Latin more melliferous.

This is really good. It was fun to pause the video and and try to work out the sentences. I messed up the word endings but was understanding the sentences better than I thought I would. Excellent video

I feel like latin was one of those languages that you felt and interpreted in PERSON with human beings and everything around. Love it. Was the first language I was given in highschool by chance loved it.

I am of Italian background but born in Australia. I was an Italian, English (ESL) & French teacher. I have taught myself Spanish over the last 3 years. So now I would like to learn some basic Latin to see how each Romance language gets Latin right, and in which way. Also I don't want to spend hours learning Latin, as I'm middle-aged, but definitely interested in quick 10 minute lessons, where I can learn basic Latin. Well done.
