3 Interesting Facts About Sonic the Hedgehog 3: No. 1: After Sonic the Hedgehog 2 came out in 2022, Jim Carrey mentioned he was thinking about retiring from acting. Producers Neal H. Moritz and Toby Ascher said they wouldn’t recast his role as Dr. Robotnik if he decided to retire but were hopeful he’d stick around if he liked the script. And it seems they got their wish—Carrey was confirmed in February 2024 to return as Dr. Robotnik, marking the first time he’s ever played the same character in more than two movies. No. 2: Each Sonic the Hedgehog movie has been gradually transforming Dr. Robotnik into Dr. Eggman. At the end of the first movie, he had the shaved head, goggles, and a big brown mustache. In the second movie, he wore a suit that looked just like his video game outfit. In this third movie, he's expected to have a rounder, more classic "Eggman" shape. No. 3: Big the Cat was supposed to appear in both of the previous films, but his scenes were cut. Word is, he’s finally going to make his debut in this third installment.

I love how Jim Carrey has portrayed Robotnik.
You can tell he is the cunning megalomaniac Robotnik from things like the Archie comics and some of the later games, while still having that classic Eggman persona and gravitas found in things like the early sonic cartoons and early games.

Despite how crazy his personal opinions can get Jim will always be a top tier actor in my opinion
