What are the VA Benefits Available for Veterans Rated 90% Disabled?

CCK-accredited advocates break down the 2024 compensation benefits and appeal options for veterans with a 90% VA disability rating. A 90% rating provides access to many top VA benefits, but not all those available to 100% disabled veterans. We cover everything from monthly compensation and additional benefits for dependents to healthcare, vocational readiness, and state-sponsored benefits. If you feel your VA rating is too low, we'll explore ways to adjust it through an appeal or increased rating claim.

Hi CCK, Thank you for providing all the information about VA benefits. I'm particularly interested in dental benefits, as I haven't been to a dentist in decades. Your video mentions that dental care is available for those rated at 90%. Could you please confirm this and advise me on how to access these benefits at my local VA medical center? They have informed me that I do not qualify for dental care, despite my 90% rating.

1970s Airborne Ranger, 67 years old now. Medical records cannot be found.
I've been at 40% for arthritic spine, hips, knees and left ankle + hearing loss since 2012.
Tried to get an increase starting on 03 July 2023, but unfortunately I got with a bad company, they hyped up the 90%. But after C&P exam, I was denied for an increase.

If a supplemental claim comes back at a rating that you do not agree with, could you do another supplemental claim for the same issue, or would an appeal be better option?

I’m a son of a vet and I put my claim in over a year and half ago and I haven’t heard anything. Even I call and no new news😢

A lot of close, but near miss information here. They suggest dental care is available at 90%, but don't even begin to address all the restrictions and limitations. Also they talk about VA $ burial benefits, but don't touch on the option for burial at VA national cemeteries, or VA grant funded state, tribal or territorial cemeteries. A veteran would be far better served going to a Veterans Service Organization for claims assistance with no fee. Only in an extreme case should a lawyer be consulted. And, this group should use some of the law books on their set to look up the difference between internment and interment. Not a lot here that builds confidence. :-(
