How to Care for Air Plants

Have you heard about air plants yet? They're low-maintenance plants that are ideal for hands-off plant parents, but you can't totally ignore them. Air plants prefer bright, indirect light but will also grow perfectly well under artificial lights.

An overview: You'll want to mist them several times a week and soak them weekly in room temperature water. Much like other houseplants, air plants need to be fertilized regularly, preferably by adding water-soluble plant food to the water before soaking. A couple more things: Air plants need plenty of air circulation, and they should be completely dry before you put them back in their containers.
