Although I'd love to see Kanan in live action (and I know Dave would definitely be down to have Freddie on live action since he loves giving little fan service nods), I've read in interviews and such that Freddie does not like to reprise the role of Kanan because every time he does it "dilutes the impact" that the final episode had in Rebels. Idk. Could be a cover, but I'd rather keep my hopes low and be pleasantly surprised than have my hopes high and be disappointed.

Would be awesome for Ezra to return Kanan's lightsaber to his son as a close-out to the season.

Ezra has been very true to his Rebels character, it would be an awesome throw back for some Storm Trooper cosplay to get home.

Freddie Prinze Jr. has said countless times that he doesn't want to return in live action because it doesn't do the character justice in his eyes. Obviously he COULD be lying, but I highly doubt it since he's a die hard Star Wars fan & has been very critical towards the fandom about their ideas & thoughts.

I can see Ezra and Sabine using the stormtrooper armor as a disguise to get aboard the ship. But not so much Ahsoka.

We are not seeing the Lothal temple on Thrawns ship. Ezra dismantled it in the Finale with the force.

I think ezra is just gonna grab a spare lightsaber from sabines ship. Also one of Kanan's first lessons in season 1 of rebels is: "Having a laser sword doesn't make you a Jedi", so him choosing not to fight with one makes perfect sense when he has just been training solo for the past decade with all the wisdom he gained from Kanan in their short time together.

Unless he's a memory we won't see a live action Kanan. Ahsoka literally explained that to Ezra in Rebels. If he pulled Kanan out of that time when he saved them, they'd all be dead.

Unfortunately, Freddie Prince Jr. doesn't want to return as Kanan
Also I believe (but I could be wrong) that Kanan's saber was destroyed after Governor Pryce recovered it in 'Dume'
Plus, Thrawn never returned to the surface in the series Finale nor did Governor Pryce ever make it back to the chimera before Thrawn was taken away
Also wasn't the temple completely destroyed by Ezra after Palpatine's plan failed

the only way Kanan could make a cameo is potentially as the Lothwolf Dume, not as a force ghost. I'd love to see it, but there's no reason to expect it.

I find what's interesting is even with Nightsisters help, they could not use thier magick to track/hunt down ezra for thrawn to finish him off, he might have learned to mask off his presence from the force. I wonder how much we will get the ezra force unique abilities
