Is That Kanan Jarrus’s Lightsaber In The Ahsoka Trailer?

A lot of people are speculating that Shin, the mysterious dark side apprentice in the Ahsoka trailer, might be wielding Kanan Jarrus’ lightsaber. After digging a bit, I found that Ahrinda Price recovered the hilt after Kanan’s death and presented it to Grand Admiral Thrawn in season 4 of Rebels. (It’s in episode 11, if you want to go back and take a look yourself.) How could I forget that?

So now, if Baylan and Shin are working for Thrawn, it’s very likely that Shin is using Kanan’s lightsaber. The handle itself looks nearly identical, but the emitter seems to be different, at least from the angle we have in the trailer. And that orange-red blade is an odd color compared to what we have previously seen in canon, so I have a feeling there is something special about the crystal now installed in the weapon, whether it’s Kyber or a different type of crystal.
