The F-2 is an aircraft based on the F-16 block40 with over 95% of the blueprints rewritten.
The shape is similar in order to follow the good aerodynamic performance of the F-16. The wings are made of CFRP with one-piece structure, the world's first AESA radar and many new technologies are applied. The relationship between F-16 and F-2 is like that between F-18 and F-18E/F, I guess.

I know that but yeah there is 3 difference I have found of the f-16 and f-2 the f2 is bigger than the f-16 and the canopy has different detail and also the back part not the rudder tho

I would say it’s still an F-16 variant but it’s a different enough derivative to earn it’s own designation
