Man so sad that the US was so petty and insecure to first destroy Japan competitiveness by devaluing the dollar against the Yen and thereby destroying their economy and if that wasn't enough they then forced Japan to stop the revival of their domestic aviation industry and pressured them into a joined development, while not even providing them with the base model they wanted (FA18) but rather with the F16 which was totally inadequate for their needs, therefore causing budget overruns and other problems... I mean imagine what a cool fighter they could have built on their own, you know a nice and different addition to our aviation world, which many aviation enthusiasts would love to see... The military industrial base could be so handy now in the present when we consider the changing geopolitical landscape in the pacific...Its inexcusable... I guess the king can do what he likes and that's the benefit of being one right... I am a very big supporter of the US but they sure as hell did many mistakes
