I had the opportunity to fly in a Cirrus SR22 GTS last month. It just so happened that we had low ceilings on this day. Perfect for an IFR flight. Dan, the owner of this Cirrus was pilot in command. We took the Cirrus up between 5000 - 7000 feet above the clouds and flight tested some of it’s neat features.

The SR22 max cruises at 180ktas, or 207mph. The SR22T max cruises at 215ktas, or 250mph.

This channel has made me become obsessed with GA. I always figured I would get my pilots license and maybe do a lease on a Cessna 150 but flipping through this channel has gotten me a lot more into it. I would love to own an sr22t and fly cross country later.

Hi,

A well-produced and informative video. Congrats. Totally agree with your power plant comments. Likely Cirrus wants to keep things simple and not involved with muti-power plant options, as that would increase their maintenance setup expenditures for engines. However, with the $$$ invested, one should be able to get a least a limited choice. 🙂

Thanks, and as for the comment below, there's always a way to own anything with partnerships. I had one for ten years in a Piper Lance and it was good. Used SR22's start at 170k. AOPA organization can help you find partners and set up a partnership contracts. Good Luck.
