I feel like supermarket food is severely underrated in Japan! Yes, conbini food is cheap and tasty but if you want something more freshly made, you can find a lot of great options at Jp supermarkets

I’m in Tokyo right now and have eaten dinner from the supermarket 3 out of 4 nights so far and it’s amazing! Sushi is cheap and unreal and fresh, all meats are better then Canada by miles and everything is extremely clean. North America could use some serious upgrades and I know when I fly home I will see all the flaws instantly and wonder how it got so bad.
