Theory of a sequel of Slender

Slender: Trails
Following the story of Lauren after she has gone missing for 8 years her husband, sets off to find her and clues locating to the abandoned hillside which is the Oakside Park where his wife's family home is. Upon his discovery, there were notes with the same handwritten of Lauren. It leads to the lake but as soon as he discovers foot tracks of someone, he knows now he is not alone. He then finds 24 pages around the burnt down forest that leads to the Radio Tower. After collecting all pages, he found himself locked on the tower and discovered a pre-recorded tape and finds out that it is Lauren's camera. A loud banging from the door starts to grow louder and he escapes right behind the burnt corpse's wall. There are two individuals chasing him. The cracked wall actually leads to an abandoned town and he uses the car noises, to attract them away from location sites where the lead of items to destroy the chains locking the gates to a warehouse, while tossing pebbles at the cars.

After locking the large gate with huge padlocks, as soon as he drops the key, it was grabbed by one of the individuals from outside as it snoops its hands in. The same tall man appears outside with the individuals beside him and starts to move to where he is. To escape the warehouse, he must start the truck with 4 fuel canisters and fix the wires. It took him forever but luckily, he escaped.

As he drives fast, the fog starts to envelop his surroundings and leads him to where he started, and destroyed Lauren's family home.

As he wakes up, he sees a glimpse of his wife caressing his head and as she starts to mutter saying "wake up", her face turns distorted and he wakes up to a burnt down house that is nearly destroyed. He found himself on the tunnels below and discovers a secret passage that must've been built centuries ago. He also finds out secrets about the tall man who was with the two individuals following his orders. The tall man is referred as the Master and the ones following him are his Servants. Story leads to a mansion that was built here 25 years from the past according to the letter, and the Mathersons were among the 8 families that burned down the mansion for abducting their children to be used as slaves and sometimes cannibalised them. In the final letter, where a coffin is discovered, it is a letter from Lauren who tells his beloved that he will one day come rescue her but it is too late for her to be saved and the only way out is to burn the coffin within where the tall man is lying and he must find the last fuel canister all the way back from his truck to Lauren's family home and burn the coffin.

After being tailed by the two "servants" of the tall man, he successfully burns the coffin and ends the tyranny of the tall man. The two individuals soul were also vanquished and their bodies became dusts.

As he leaves the Mathersons home, there in front of him was Lauren, now in a decaying form and she became even more grotesque as she sprung long arms and legs and black tentacles came out behind her, binding him around and a note stating

"I FOUND YOU"

— appears at the end of the screen, pertaining that SLENDER has finally chosen a new host and captured his servant for himself, using Lauren's body to lure him to him.

And so, ends the series.

I’d imagine there’s an alternate timeline where after Lauren sees the state Kate’s house is in, turns back and gets out of there.
