I think the money should be stored in the cocoon, and you get to do hit it quite a few times before it opens

Having a still cocoon instead of a moving shade might be an attempt to inhibit a shade-skip equivalent

I do like the idea that when you get back to where you were you have that small advantage to help push your further or just enter the difficult fight as prepared as you can be.

And I'm assuming that with the way Rosary strings work and how your unstrung ones are constantly at risk that they will be plentiful enough to not harshly punish player for dying often.
