Most PDEs that you'll need to solve for any real-world application aren't likely to have clean analytic solutions. In this video, we explore several numeric techniques for solving PDEs with finite difference methods. First we'll talk about explicit techniques, like the Euler Method and RK4. Then, we discuss implicit and IMEX methods, which are more numerically stable, but often computationally intensive. And finally, we discuss specific methods for solving the wave equation and the Poisson equation.

*** Sorry the sound quality is problematic. PremierPro's settings changed and I couldn't find any good balance between background noise and sounding like a robot ***

Is this the 3b1b animation engine? So beautiful. I know how to numerically solve ODEs but couldn't be bothered to listen to a PDE lecture, so this video was perfect for me.
