Holy hell. I've been having pain for one year now at the area you were mentioning right at the shoulder, so not the sc joint itself. Can't benchpress anymore. But I've also been having pain at my sc joint for 2 months or so. Not a crazy pain, but a slight pain. Also it cracks when protracting like the girl did in the video. Do these movements fix the problem?

Thanks for that Doctor. I have pulled the muscle right side near sterno joint or strained. It does not inflame, but feel pain when doing dips and iron cross but really I can not do any dips, because it hurts. I can move all angles with no pain but at base of joint hurts when do dips or strain. So how long do you think my rh sterno muscle will recover? by resting and massage gun. Thanks

John I'm having some discomfort around my sterno-clavicular joint on my left side which I particularly notice when I'm shrugging/rolling my shoulders forward as there's significant grinding / clicking around the joint. I don't notice this as much or at all when shrugging my shoulders up but when shrugging/rolling my shoulders forward there's definitely something not right going on and from watching your video it sounds like the proximal end of the clavicle should move posteriorly in the body or back the way into the body but doesn't do this for me and maybe this is what is happening on my left side. I also feel like I can't raise my left arm as high as my right, so perhaps there's an inspirated / sub-luxed first rib too contributing to this, causing this, or a result of this.

I've also experienced symtoms of thoracic outlet syndrome and my left shoulder clicks and grinds, both of which I feel are downstream issues from this dysfunction I've got around either the first rib or sterno-clavicular joint. Do you offer treatment? I'm based in Scotland and all osteopaths / chiropractors I've seen up here either don't know these techniques or aren't at your level. I'm convinced you can save me.

Finally a video thats comparable to my situation, its on both of my shoulders, i had fysio in the Hospital ( didnt like my doctor), but not this kind, but more like light benchpress, pushups and those kind of things. the pain is already lasting 2 years and cracks like hell., and next month i go to the next hospital for a second opinion. i had an injection in the bones in de AC joint but i didnt help and closed the file because they didnt know either and didnt want to do an operation and told me i had to live with it and wished me luck. i was devistated. My SC joints go forward if i put my arms up en click back in when i put them down. and both my shoulders are realy painfull ( like making up my bed is already real painfull), can i get completly rid of it with a good Fysiotherapist or make it less painfull ? and do you maybe got any tips for me ? sorry for bad english, and greeting from the Netherlands. Thx for the video =)

I’ve had this clunking & popping noise that’s very uncomfortable in my left
SC joint. This had lead to a lot of numbness / pins and needles on my left arm down to my thumb.
This lasts for 5-10 seconds and seems to be getting less constant but at one point was every minute.
Do you think the SC joint could be pinching the brachial
Nerve ?
