Being a photographer enthusiast, and tired of taking photos with the smartphone, last year I bought my first camera - Sony a6000. I've pair it with the Sigma 56 mm 1.4 and it's a blast for photography, very pleased with it!

I just got the a6400 for christmas! I got it used with the sigma 16mm and a gimbal for $1250, the shutter count is extremely low and the camera is basically brand new. I'm super excited to start out and you definetely helped a lot with your videos!

I have a a6000, I buyed it used and abused, with some marks and dents, near 25.000 shutter actuations, but fully functional without any problem. I got it for 155usd with a semi broken kit lens (the zoom doesn't work). I have a Nex5r too, it's so small, like a pocket camera. I use both with manual lenses, M42, Minolta and Pentax. I'm thinking about going for a full frame, an old used (and cheap) A7 / A7R / A7S.

Can't wait to buy my first camera. I'm sure it's gonna be Sony after watching all your videos. Your videos are (and will be) my guide. Hope someday I'll capture photos better than anyone else. Kudos to you.

1.A6000 - I owned, 4 months back I got it for a really good deal as a newone will suggest this because you can learn and experience yourself as a beginner I m using 2 prime lens sigma 30mm f1.4 for portraits and Sony 85 mm f1.8 f for head shots 2. A7C - I used to travel and if I enter into full frame camera I would buy A7C for sure over A7III because i m not professional photographer and I will travel a lot so A7C is compact and perfect for my work flow, before entering into full frame will collect good lens Thank you Tom bro for your suggestion and guidance through your videos and messages

Still have my a6000 and love it. Bought the ZV-e10 this year - getting acquainted with it.
Have several used NEX cameras to sell off.

The video maybe 2 years old but still holds up I feel, I am currently on the Canon EF mount and want to test the waters of the Sony E mount seeing as they are still supporting it, and allow 3rd party lenses, unlike Canon RF.

Great video man! Here are my two cents as an a6400 and ZV-E10 owner:
1) Don't get the a6400 if you want ANY handheld video action. All the tasty lenses for the sony aps-c are without OIS and footage comes out extremely jittery and shaky if you go anything 35mm+. For photo tho, pretty good!
2) ZV-E10 is one plastic peace of camera. It feels like point&shoot on steroids rather than smaller a6400. It's footage is as shaky as a6400 and the gyro stabilization work only on high shutter speed, if you don't want to get blurred frames every time shake happens. Forget the 180 degree shutter, you'll be shooting at ~1/200 minimum handheld to stabilize and at that point the image quality is closer to action camera than mirrorless.
3) Both of these cameras batteries are really bad, you'll need 2-3 minimum to go for a photo walk with some video in it.

On the upside the auto focus is magical and it somehow just reads your mind on what you want to be in focus, especially on the ZV-E10 it felt (subjectively) snappier than a6400 did.

Thank you for your videos. They are extremely informative. I have enjoyed my A6000 for a few years now. I have bought several different Sony lenses as well as other brand lenses using an adaptor but my go to lens is the Sony Apsc 300 mm . I get some really nice shots of the birds at their feeder. I recently became very interested in the Sony FE 600 mm lens. I watched many videos about it. Since it was a very big investment I RENTED it and the SIGMA 600 for a week at a reasonable price from BorrowedLenses (who did an awesome job). I was glad that I rented them because I found although both lenses were very nice, they were a bit too heavy and large for my current needs. When I compared the Sony 600 pix to the 300 pix of the same object, I found that it wasn't enough of a difference (for me) to spend $1500 on it for right now. So my sights are on a Sony full frame some time in 2023. You can be sure that once I decide which one I want; I will be renting that for a week too!

A question: you place the ZV-E10 over the 6400, is there one more similar to the E10 / better than the 6400 but with a viewfinder? Would the 6100 be a good option?
