most notable difference is that the PREMIUM kits use OFC (oxygen free copper ) which conducts electricity much better and the budget kits usually are not true 4 Gauge resulting in less wire strands

Budget will be alright for most amps but if your running more than 400 watts rms power I recommend the premium amp kits

you should make a much smaller hole in the grommet when running the power wire through the fire wall, you want it to be a tight fit or else you could get moisture leaking into the car

I just did this for a 2017 Sonata and can confirm the instructions are still exact. Definitely, the hardest part is getting the amp wire fed through the rubber grommet and dropping below. Mine kept getting stuck behind the A/C unit, or whatever the big box is behind the glove box.

I also had some trouble with the rear seat at first. The front part of the seat popped up fine, but it wouldn't come out. Almost like there was a bolt somewhere else. There wasn't. After messing with it for a bit I found the correct angle to lift the seat out. No tools required for that part.

Easy to follow guide. Thanks again!

Just finished these exact instructions on a 2016 Sonata and it works GREAT! Very easy and simple process. Just a reminder i completed this with a stock touch screen factory radio. If you don't have posi taps you can use tap splines. You can find them at most hardware stores. Thank you!

I wish you’d insert links to buy the D cable and speaker wire tap in kit to make it easier to figure out.

Can I do this Hyundai sonata 2013.? You started with one box connecting to your speaker input.then RCA out line converter.? So afterwards do you matchup color for color? I'm just trying to hook up a sub. My amp has RCA inputs I'm keeping my factory.?

Do you have any videos like this for a 2021 Hyundai sonata? Or will it be the same?

It would be a good idea to pull signal from the passenger side speaker as well; using this method, you're only getting audio from the left channel. Also, if you're using this method, there's no reason to run a stereo RCA cable. Since L and R are tied together on the input, the output is going to be the same on either channel. Amps usually take a mono signal on the Left channel.
