AT&T outage disconnects users from wireless network

The wireless company said a software issue disconnected customers from its network that started in Florida but quickly spread across the country. The issue has been resolved.

2 major nationwide outages this year alone. Hopefully this last outage didn’t prevent someone from receiving medical help.

17000 union workers for the CWA in the southeast United States are currently on strike with AT&T over unfair labor practices involving contract negotiations and have been for TWO WEEKS and there is essentially zero coverage and we're all going broke with no end in sight!

It wasn't just overnight. This happened to my phone daily over the last week and a half/2 weeks. Was happening to my co-workers as well. It would flash "No Sim" and then shortly after it would read "SOS" at the top of my phone. Couldn't call out or anything unless I turned my phone off and then back on.

My mom and I have had no signal and our iPhones show SOS since Aug 24th (today is the 28th). I spent over 2 hours of the phone with ATT today and they couldn't figure anything out...still no signal. They didn't know anything about any outages. We are in Indiana, USA. I also called my local ATT store and they also didn't know anything about any outages.

The same thing happened to me, sos only. Trying to use my GPS and no signal at all. Restart my phone and cleared it all up. My main company was Verizon wireless, but I got a really good deal when I switched to AT&T. Have had problems with Verizon wireless when everything went 5g.

Lol... More like spectrum is doing it on purpose. I never heard of AT&t needing to piggyback on spectrum. Their listening to people bedroom conversations...a wifi Router is all you need. Then you come out here to Tennessee and spectrum gives you 2 boxes. The second one is a speaker, in my opinion...

I think this is horrible service and am planning on switching my service I pay my bill every month on time and have had way more hassle than my phone line itself, SMH, I am not happy.
