Germany is facing a budget crisis following an emergency spending freeze. Europe’s biggest and the world’s third-largest economy is in trouble. It seems to have run out of money that it needs for modernizing its infrastructure and for achieving its climate targets.

Germany likes to be seen as a global climate leader. It has plans to become carbon neutral in the next couple of decades. A plan that now looks farfetched.

While other countries – like the US and China are investing heavily in their infrastructure – for a better future – Germany, on the other hand, is having to save money and cut costs. So, today on To The point, we are discussing: Problems Made in Germany: No more money for the future?

Seeing the issues in Germany I cant stop to think the similarities with Canada, endless oudated bureaucratic processes, that stagnate their industrial transition.

So people in Germany seem so tight on their money that nobody can make big leaps… and instead of paying people more to make jobs attractive, Germany rather looks for policies to get workforce in, that has not as high expectations regarding salary and work place conditions as the people being there already. Does that make sense?

Germany and Europe need visionary leaders, if they want to compete with China, USA or India. For now Germany and Europe is lead by some obsessive-compulsive maniacs trying to fight climate with the windmills.

Germany has about the same solar potential as Alaska, which has an average of 3.08 sun hours/day in Fairbanks.
Grid-scale solar farms in Germany is just silly.
