Meryl Streep has the absolute decency to surprise me in the last five minutes of this movie and make me sob

Amanda’s voice is so underrated why?? Her voice is the definition of an angel

This scene broke me and it still breaks me. I came out of that theater crying and clinging onto my mother while my sister (eleven at the time and six years younger than me) laughed at me for being a softy. She was too young to understand what I was feeling right then and there.

Small little bit I found that’s so sweet: Young Donna is wearing a necklace with a butterfly on when she’s with baby Sofie. And then in present time Sofie is wearing a dress with butterflies on.

I don’t know why but this one little thing makes this scene more emotional for me.

Meryl Streep’s and Amanda Seyfried’s voices compliment each other so nicely!

This scene really speaks to me. I lost my mother this year to cancer, and she is going to miss all the milestones in my life that I want to share with her. She is never going to see me get married or met her first grandchild or even see me graduate. Watching this scene and hearing this song makes me cry. I just miss her so much..

Donna and Sophie - among the greatest screen Mom-Daughter duos. Slipping through my fingers and My Love, My Life - So full of maternal love and caring.

Everyone says love is the strongest bond in the World

But a mother and daughters bond is stronger because it cant never break because a mother's love is created since the very beginning

This scene never fails to make me cry. Reminds me so much of the relationship I had with my mom. She passed away in August 2020, and I miss her every day. Love you, mom.

First time I watched this movie was on a plane ride back from my dads funeral and I was pregnant. This scene hit so different. I just cried so bad and held my husband. So heartbreaking but in a way I felt understood 💔😢
