I went to AIT with this man and he is a great dude. Glad he is giving people some good old Army 411 knowledge.

Been in for 3 years and still rocking my day 1 basic boots.
I'm not retiring them till they finish their contract.

Buddy of mine was a tanker. His saying was “death before dismount. We eat, sleep and shit in that tank…” 😂

People either bully or fear people willing to keep wearing the basic training boots

The tanker boot doubles as a classy high fashion design study. Just look at the beauty of those serpenti monk straps.

In the 80s we got real leather and would replace the sole with Vibram soles. I had a pair last me 30 years.

I love my bellville boots. I have 1 pair left in black that I currently still wear in retirement at my current job. They are one of the only boots that doesn't hurt my flat feet.

Footwear is basically the only place I don't mind spending a decent bit of money for quality. I can spend 30 bucks on a cheap pair of shoes that last me 2 months of being too narrow and unsupported, or I can dish out 180 for a nice pair of shoes that fit my big feet and remain comfortable and strong for 2 thousand miles of walking.

I had the Belleville light assault boots, and I still have 2 pairs of them, and my old bct boots, because why the fuck not?

If you wear tanker boots, you’re cleaning out baby batter from your mustache daily.

I wore tanker boots. But in 1986, they were black

My Oakley’s boots took a beating in Iraq. I wore them up until my discharge. They had burn marks and even a blood stain. Our butter bar who came to us after deployment told me to go get new boots and not to wear those again. They stayed on my feet for over 2 more years. I earned the condition of those boots and they weren’t going anywhere. I was medically discharged and my boots were in my storage unit along with 90% of my military stuff and was broken into and it was all stolen. When I realized the boots were gone I actually had to fight tears
