Well of course it works. It’s only worked for over 500 years now lol! The only thing I wouldn’t put it in is Swede.

I mix Dubbins with Huberds and a little Minwax furniture wax for treatment on my work boots 2X/year, keeps them water tight and well conditioned.
I clean them well and pre heat the leather and mixture first then brush and buff.

i use "snowshoes" from 1940ish. been on my Redwings for 5+years.

when kept dry, the dubbin doesn't go bad. and apart from heating the leather you can also heat the tin with dubbin so it's more like lard (consistency - wise). great for boots, but only for those without the membrane
