And I thought I had a lot of boots, but now I've come to realize that I don't have enough.

i wear my smooth ostrich boots everyday from work to desserts to mountains, in rain, snow, sand, dirt, mud .. ive worn them everyday for going on 3 years and ive been surprised how tough the type of leather is. they look almost brand new. i do condition them a lot more than i probably should but with all the water, dirt and changes to temperature i go through they dry out real fast. for hiking in areas with lots of rocks, i would recommend going to a cobbler and getting a rubber sole vs the leather because you can literally feel like every single rock you step on

I love the country style (mainly for the durability of it). I have never worked on a ranch or a farm, and my parents were from the East Coast, so no one I knew really wore stuff like it. I've been relying on tips from people I work with and the interwebs, so finding a video like this is great.

I have always used Lemon Pledge on my snakeskin boots. Have a pair that are over 30 years old and still look great.

Absolutely! We like to say in our store, just play. Try them on. You don’t choose the boot, the boot chooses you. :-)

I bought my Double H 5400s in Amarillo a couple years ago. Was going to have them re-soled the next summer(last summer) but didn't need to. Planned on doing it this summer but I might be in for another year. These soles are indestructible. Worn every day besides winter and the Bison leather smell has me hooked.

A very respectable collection! I saw a few pairs that I need to add to mine.

I absolutely fell in love with traditional square toe boots and my favorite brands fenoglio. I’ve never found a better boot brand than theirs

I would recommend Saphir Reptan conditioner or Bickmore Exotic for your reptile boots. Bick 4 is best for smooth, non oil based leathers.

Had to sell my first stingray after I got them because I realized “these fuggers ain’t ever gonna stretch!” I worked at Western Warehouse in Dallas around 2006 when they were trying to rebrand. They did some great work doing our store on Interstate 75, but it didn’t work unfortunately. Miss working there for the discount. I just bought a pair of plum rough out cutter toes because I miss having something fancy and flashy. Not an every day boot, but something fun for events.

Love it!! Definitely learned a lot! I also think you need another pair or 20.

Dude I worked my way through at good ole cav too! I even got my million dollar buckle and assistant managed store #24. That’s awesome. Most people have no idea how awesome boots are. Or what sets them apart from the rest. For me Rios, olathe and Anderson beans can’t be beat. Good quality stuff!

Thanks for the information, as I'm looking to buy my first pair of boots. Just for going out on the town (not work boots)... dinner and dancing with my wife. I don't want to pay a ton of money for something I'll wear only occasionally. I have narrow feet and would want something easy to break in. What would you recommend?

And for all you "haters" telling everyone _not_ to get/wear boots if you ain't a real cowboy, I suppose you tell everyone not to wear tennis shoes if you aren't a tennis pro? Grow up... 🙄

The best handmade boots come from Stewart Boots in South Tucson, Arizona. I had mine for over 30 years until my sold them at our moving sale😩 I have been more disappointed. FYI, it is my understanding that Stewart is the oldest domestic boot maker in the USA
