Why are we even having this discussion? It is beyond obvious that women take picky to a whole new level. They are absurdly picky. A women might try on 30 pairs of shoes before she picks one. Men are at a complete loss to understand such extreme pickiness. Go look at online dating. Women always have an entire list of things you MUST be in order to date them. You must be perfect! Such silliness!

Looks matter a lot. Contrary to popular belief, women are MORE "visual" than men, and they FULLY KNOW IT (but lie about it)! For most of my life, I was constantly rejected and treated like a non-person. Then I completely overhauled my physical appearance and BAM!, complete 180 degree turn. Dating is easy now. I still drive the same car, live in the same house and act the same way. The only thing that changed was my outward appearance. Guys, fix your looks, as DRAMATICALLY as you can, and unless you're a total aspie, your dating life WILL improve! Anyone who tells you women are "less visual" is either naive, brainwashed by for-profit "dating advice", or intentionally trying to deceive you. It's what's on the outside that counts. "Inner beauty" is just a bonus.

No, women *are* pickier, and it's part of their biology.
There is a biological pressure for females to be more selective with their mates. Since males benefit tremendously from sleeping around (reproductively) compared to females, females become the limiting factor in reproduction. A natural pressure is induced on females to pick better mates, since their mate choice will lead to a rough 5 year commitment to raise the child to a state where the mother is not a critical component for survival.

You presented a very poorly thought out argument. Women are vastly pickier than men when it comes to choosing romantic and sexual partners. The literature is abundantly clear on this.

As an appeal to common sense, for whatever that is worth, note that at no point in history has a society existed where women routinely pay men for sex, whereas the reverse is universal. The money bypasses the pickiness.

In my years of experience in food service, retail, as well as having close male and female friends...picky women are far more common. Don't get me wrong, there are definitely men who have their moments. Happens all the time. But women definitely take the cake.

Men will usually order a cheeseburger, women will ask me for a cheese burger with no pickles, extra ketchup, light mayo, and off the broiler. Men will want a fast printer with wireless connectivity, women will want a fast printer with a single tricolor cartridge, a fashionable color, a compact look, an easy size, and with ink easy to insert. Now I don't find anything necessarily wrong with these preferences, it's just that more often I see women hand me a list of tight requirements for anything. I had a woman who needed a specific kind of printer, with specifications up the ass, and I got her one with exactly everything she needed but she turned it down. The reason? It's "ugly". Again, nothing wrong with that. It just demonstrates the comparison I'm talking about. I get picky women notably more often than picky men.
