In this Kovu wants revenge on Mufasa, Scar found Kovu when he was a cub and took care of him. Mufasa killed Scar and Kovu saw him. Kovu remembers that Scar's father was also tough on him.
Kovu plans revenge with the hyenas who met them shortly after Scar's death.
