In this video I will show you 2 theories about Kovu's real parents and how they could connect to the canon storyline.

I see a lot of comments talking about Kovu's parents being from the Tree of Life, but I wouldn't recommend trying to find Kovu's parents by seeing which lions look the most like him, genetics are weird and confusing and without looking deep enough in a family tree/pedigree, some traits can seem like they came out of nowhere. Search up "Mendel pea plant expiraments, " and just by going down a few generations he already got some weird results. Now take the number of traits that Mendel used for his expiraments and multiply that by a lot, and you end up being able to get an almost endless amount of outcomes for the offspring of two organisms, so in reality, Kovu's parents could look like anything so going off looks isn't a good way to search for them.

Kovus parents is ziras older sister but then when ziras sister passed away zira raised Kovu and Vertani like her own cubs

my theory:
i think scar saw kovu and wanted him so zira killed kovu's parents but kovu was so little at the time to remember this and zira never told him the truth

My theory is that two lion parents, dying from illness came to the Outlands. They were also starving as they gave their food to their son. They die just as they reach the Outlands. Scar sees this as he patrols the Outlands. He doesn’t care for the adult lion and lioness but rescues Kovu. He takes him in and raises him.

My Theory:

I honestly don't want to know who Kovus parents are. The story of him having unknown parents is a lot more intriguing. I believe that in one of the hyenas patrols around the Pridelands, they find a recently deceased / dying lioness with nursing cubs (I'd say two at least). The hyenas report back to Scar and he comes to investigate. One cub, female, was far too weak and sick to survive the journey back to Priderock; the other, male, was just fit enough to recover. In the cubs healing process, he pays a visit to Zira, who was recently nursing Vitani, and asks her to raise him as her own along side with Vitani (I also believe Vitani isn't Ziras cub, Vitani was given to her). Scar saw something in the little cub, a fire of hope and greatness for him. In that moment of him handing the cub over to Zira he officially announces him as his future heir. In Ziras desperate attempt to please Scar she accepts without hesitation. He then decides to call him Kovu.

Kovu isn't Scar's son as we know, but, I wonder where he gets those familiar green eyes from?

I know who kovu’s parents are
Zira’s sister and her mate had vitani and kovu
But both parents got sick so zira took them in

My Theory is that Kovu came from The Tree of Life and is POSSIBLY Queen Jonna's grandson through her living son. Rani's Uncle met Zira/a random lioness and have cubs with her. He realizes his duty is to the tree of life and leaves the lioness and his cubs. The lioness ends up passing away with one of her cubs, leaving Kovu as the lone survivor. Zira and Scar find him one day and took him in. As Nuka said in TLK 2, "Scar wasn't even his father. He just took him in." Any thoughts about my theory?

Maybe Kovu's parent were Rani's pride because he has the same fur colour as Rani and baliyos he is also the same age and his eye colour is similar to Queen Jannas eyes so is it possible for him to have met Rani OR is he her lost son?! This was my therory please like my comment 😊 thx

They do have brown fur but they have red eyes and a pride noise but Kovu has green eyes brown fur....kula or chumvis parents probably had green eyes and a outsider noise....👌

In my theory Kovu is the son of Chumvi and my OC Rena (Zira's half sister). I think Scar didn't care much about blood, but strength and loyalty were the most important to him for an heir. That's why Kovu was the chosen one and not his own son Nuka. :)

I would say that Chumvi and Zira makes sense, given the fact that according to Canon, Zira is Kovu and Vitani's mother by birth, but his and Vitani's father Chumvi turns out to be from a Pride of Asiatic Lions (Lions who have Brown colored fur and the males included with Brown colored manes). The way this would be so is that Zira obviously chooses Chumvi as her mate for a time while Scar is in madness after trying to make Nala his Queen. Together, Zira and Chumvi have Vitani and Kovu. Then when Simba returns, defeats Scar (who ends up getting killed by Shenzi, Banzi, Ed, and their Hyena clan because of his early attempt to cover up his deeds against Mufasa and the Pride Lands by pinning the blame on them as well during his confrontation by Simba), and Zira and her followers called the Outsiders get banished from the Pride Lands after when Zira attacked Simba over his rejection of Scar being the real king in response to Zira's protest that he cannot rule the Pride Lands as Scar had chose Kovu to be king, Chumvi chooses not join the Outsiders getting exiled to the Outlands. Then when Chumvi learns what Zira did to Simba's first son Kopa, he disavows her and cuts ties with her as his mate after which he goes to join his sister Nirmala at the Tree of Life as part of the Night Pride and eventually meets Kopa again when he comes to the Tree of Life for healing and sanctuary after the latter (Kopa) had survived Zira's attack and gets to know him more and decides to watch over him as Chumvi tells Kopa his story as well.
