Your channel sort of made me open my mind to the base Cayman, I bought the base 987.2 in guards Red, my Cayman is extremely capable driving on B roads and motorways. The 2.9 is more than adequate and goes nuts when you extract the power above 4k then the BoxEngine comes alive, in company of the 3.4 engine it keeps up very well in normal driving.

Binging all of your videos. Just ordered a 2007 2.7 5spd, anxiously awaiting delivery. I paid $24, 450 for it. 50k miles, Midnight blue metallic over sand beige with 18" carrera sport wheels and bose sound. Getting a full PPI at a specialty shop when it arrives to make sure it checks out nicely. Already have a few parts on order...

I agree with you entirely, the 2.7 has a magic blend of power & handling unmatched by any other car. Admittedly mine has a bunch of performance mods that give it almost equal power to the S but you still have to work it hard to get there & it only has the 5 speed box. They are for the meantime an absolute bargain, keeping my mileage to 4k a year will guarantee that it won't lose money, in fact I expect it to gain giving me almost free motoring. I love your channel, keep up the good work.

Great video Mark, I’ve always liked Porsche and the cayman is no exception looks a awesome car, I keep reading horror stories of bore scoring etc am I correct in saying the 2.7 is a far safer bet too ? Thanks again for the great video
