Tips: Like all car repair in the rust belt, this is a difficult job due to rust (probably rust is the reason for fluid leak too), for the 14mm threaded nut holding the pipes into the transmission, I was rounding the nuts off. Ultimately I cut the pipe and took it off with Milwaukee impact wrench. The hose clamps are also challenging, I recommend you get a set of hose clamp tools as it is hard to reach in tight spots. I looked everywhere online for these parts, only Toyota dealers sold them and adding the individual parts together cost a fortune. I was skeptical of Lines To Go, as I’d never heard of them. Watched several YouTube videos and this was the best video. It’s unusual that the Corolla has few videos for repairing this as it does come up on forums discussions. It was pricy to order from Lines To Go, but not as expensive as dealership. Free shipping was nice, fast, arrived 2 days after I ordered. Quality of everything from Lines To Go is top notch, the hoses, pipes, clamps, even the box packaging is robust. It’s a relief that this is sold as a kit, looking at all the individual parts on Toyota website is overwhelming as their site is poorly designed. Lines To Go website allows VIN verification of compatibility, which is reassuring, and worked perfectly for me.

At 2:37 he's removing the cooler line from the transmission using a 14mm wrench. That 14mm flare nut bolts into a 17mm nut that is removable from the transmission. Does anyone know the technical name for that 17mm nut? My old cooler lines are rusted solid to that 17mm nut, so i cut the lines and removed the nut assembly. I have them soaking in Marvel Mystery Oil right now, hopefully I can separate them tomorrow without damaging the housing or the threads.

Great video. How much do you charge for the entire job? I'm gonna do it myself just wondering how much I'll be saving on labor.
