I would recommend, that if you're not comfortable taking the doorpanel off, to just leave it on. This can 100% be done without taking off that entire door panel; it's a little trickier to get access to the cables. But it's much more easily done that way imo

Just finished this on a 2005 S. It went easier than I expected. The only kinda tricky part is getting the door window/lock harness re-attached. Gotta slide the harness apart to retract the little locking mechanism in the harness. Other than that, it was rather seamless. Took under an hour. Thanks for the plastic pry bar hint. I picked up a set for under $10. The mirror cost $50. Way better than going to the dealer. Momma has her car back.

Thank you for this video - I am grateful. I followed your steps and managed to change my mirror. The only difficulty I had was reattaching the power coupling in the door panel (as almost the last step). I was tough but finally managed to connect it. Mirror works great. Thank you.
