As a small child my mom had a version of Missile Command on her IBM Thinkpad, and when you lost the game it quoted the "Game over man, game over!" from Aliens. I loved how you referenced that!

Great video! My 10 favorites are be: Pitfall II, Vanguard, Megamania, Enduro, Jungle Hunt, River Ride, E.T., Super Breakout, Cosmic Ark, Ice Hockey.

Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Non-linear game play.
Mission specific items and bosses.
Internal clock.
Multiple weapons.
Inventory management.
The first rpg I ever played.

Should be top 3 on this list.

My two most favorite games on the Atari 2600 are Adventure and ET.

I still to this day play Demon Attack and Yar's Revenge...some games are just timeless!

Nice list. I do have to say that ET is NOT the worst game ever made. It's an ambitious game that was programmed in a short time. It could have used more polish before release. It does require reading the manual to know what to do. There are far, far worse games on the 2600.

Pitfall 2 is a great game & one of the best on the system however H.E.R.O. is a much better game..
