My mom met a man at age 17, but he was 17 years older than she. They married other people, had families. Never forgot each other. They re- met late in life and were married .They had 7 years together before his death . This was their song. Mama would cry everytime she listened to this. I cry for her now. Wonderful voice. Great job on this cover Dan. Thank you 💜

I'm sure you won't see this comment... I'm used to never being noticed; but, I just wanted to say thank you for how you chose to do this cover. You kept it in that beautiful tenor that few can master. My father, rest his soul, was also a big Journey fan. We used to sit and play his favorite Journey music videos, and when I first heard "Open Arms", he saw how sad I was listening to the lyrics ( I only got to know him as an adult due to stuff I won't mention here). He just looked at me... looked at my domestic violent "other half", and said "Don't worry hunny... someday, someone is going feel that way about you.. and it will be forever"... I'm 38 now... still waiting for that to happen one day... But anyways... enough sap. This video brought me to tears both in it's beauty and respect, but also in it's reminder of my dad (in a good way...I just miss him). SO... <3 And I hope you have an epic life ;)
