This might be weird- but I really love your bangs. I don't think I've ever seen anyone where their bangs suit them so well.

Great video. Practice is critical to improving on an instrument. You laid out a very comprehensive regimen (1) warmup/scales (2) etudes (3) bach (4) repertoire + cool down. If you have limited time say about 30 mins should you compartmentalize and shorten these elements are just focus on 1 or 2? Also, what is the most important element of the practice routine you outlined? As a beginning adult student coming from years of playing jazz guitar I find that 75% if not more of my time is spent on SCALES and working on intonation.

I LOVE the way you journal your practices! (I wish I could find your info on journaling practices). I am such a list maker; I find myself walking past lists because they become so overwhelming. But keeping track of lessons practiced is a wonderful idea. I've random practice my favorites when I can but mostly scales; boring... Now you've given me wonderful ideas to better enjoy! and value my exercises... Thank You!!!

What age would you start a child on the Cello? I know that piano is a good base for all instruments, so how would you figure out what a good age would be for the Cello?

This video is nice ! 👍 I have just one question, when you say Bach's suite were written originally almost as etudes, I found it very surprising, where did you get this information ?

I’ve been struggling a lot lately with scales and I have a hard time telling if a note is in tune. My scales also aren’t very smooth and my bowing is choppy to say the least. I also have trouble with vibrato. It’s uneven and I have a hard time controlling it and making it sound good. Any tips?

Hi, thank you for these amazing videos! I want to start learning cello, it's a dream of mine. May I ask if you have any suggestions for finding a teacher as a beginner? Also, I'm 45, not too late?

What etudes do you recommend for a violist learning the cello? Something easy but not too easy, if you know what I mean.
