Thank you! Yes this is what my breast oncologist told me and a lot of older breast cancer survivors scared me telling me all this other stuff that isnt true. A lot of older survivors seem to not want to work out and i almost wonder if thats why the "working out is bad for it" myth started going around. I'm someone who did a lot of weight lifting prior to breast cancer and missed doing it. Ive started with light weights. Been a journey on and off for 9 years. Stop and go with surgeries and biopsies but always tried to call my doctor or text her to make sure i was doing the right thing. .. i also noticed this with diet post breast cancer. People just give up and start eating a lot of sweets and junk food. We didnt survive to have low quality of life ladies!!

I suffer from the primary lymphedema on the left leg. I live in France where the compression garments are partially covered by the insurance system. The best method is the self bandage with about 3 layers of the bandages, and I also bandage the toes when I sleep, it works wonders. The drainage helps only at about 2% ! So I stopped doing it and do not take the trouble anymore. I also swim and cycle a lot, plus I practice yoga. I wear the class 3 stockings all the time. Surgery is impossible and they told me it was too risky.

Thank you. I suffer with hot flashes and sometimes I'll have them for 2 months straight. They cause the lymphedema in my breast and underarm to swell and it's painful. I can't stand to wear the Prarie compression bra because I'm burning up. I use K Tape on the breast but getting it off.😵

If i go on swimming, does it mean i have to wear the compression stockings while i go on swimming ?
I have been using compression stockings for more than 6 months and i make handwash on it? The compression stockings is quite expensive and was thinking to replace it after year? is that okay?
