We've all seen solid sodium in liquid water, but what about solid water in liquid soldium? Let's see what happens. Do NOT try this yourself.

If you had done the experiment inside a small kiddie pool all those droplets raining down would have made lots of secondary explosions. That would have been epic!

feels like a WAY more dangerous reaction

You're a genius. I don't know of anyone else who has done this. You're awesome. Also, may I introduce you to a tool called a grabber. It grabs stuff at a distance. But it can also be as a releaser, to release stuff at a distance.

Glass beaker, dropping the ice by hand... I'm glad this didn't turn out badly.

This channel DEFINITIVELY lives up to the “Action Lab” name.

Have you considered buying or building a large plexiglass glove box? You could use it for oxygen or moisture sensitive experiments. It could also have vent ports so it could be used as a fume hood.

So, what does it feel like to be covered in molten sodium? I guess I'll have to try this and find out!

In the future I will remember to not drop ice into liquid sodium. It's a big problem of mine that I am accident prone so I can't make any guarantees that I won't one day trip, fall, and drop a block of ice into the personal stash of liquid sodium I carry with me in my fanny pack. Thank you for this valuable public service announcement!

Those bits of solidified sodium everywhere are going to be fun next time it rains! Anyway, so what do you reckon would happen with molten Cesium?

This guy is really cool. I hope he doesn't get hurt from something he "didn't expect to happen."

Wow, it's a good thing you were wearing gloves. Probably should have remotely released it. Please stay safe!

You are crazy brave to do that one .. I was expecting the explosion but wow how it went off almost before it even contacted the sodium was amazing.

That was actually really scary and dangerous. Make sure you do it again, but bigger scale
