Love the visual presentation! One small criticism--I wouldn't agree that money only flows from consumers to raw materials. I'd argue that money flows are a different layer or dimension of this system

Imagine a second layer beneath the raw material->consumer chain. Consumers are spending money on the end products, but a great deal of money is also spent getting consumers to buy those products. Advertising changes consumer behavior, and investors provide their own energy into pushing certain products over others.

The left graph would look less like a neat chain, but a continuous pattern of financial upswells growing certain nodes and allowing more throughput of resources and money.
