I own a pixel 4 xl and my wife has the 11 Pro max. She's constantly bugging me to use my phone for pictures because she hates how her iPhone takes them... And then steals my phone for hours after going through the photos and selecting which ones to send to her phone.... 🙄

Overall iPhone has the edge, if pixel can update and improve their video they will be untouchable

Smart HDR is incredible, only complaint is the white balance on the iPhone. Video quality is in another league

I agree that Pixel is better for photography and iPhone better for video. I'm not a fan of wide-angle lenses though, so I'm not missing anything there. Almost every wide-angle lens image I've seen has the "Peep-hole" affect to it. It looks like your looking through a door peep hole as the edges are all curved. I'm just not a fan of that look.

Great review, as always! As you said, both really amazing, but from your samples I liked iPhone a little bit more. By the way, that Astrophotography mode is really interesting, it will be great to continue to see some improvements on that area.

I get that the Iphone 11Pro is a great device. However, I was able to grab a Pixel 3a XL (Great Camera), a 55' 4K TCL 4 series (I Know), and a laptop for less than the price of a new Iphone.

did you adjust the lighting/contrast on the pixel for video? it makes a big difference in clarity.

I think the Pixel should upgrade it's camera hardware. It should have a more updated sensor that compliments it's software processing. Maybe that should give it an edge.

Great review thanks. I lean towards iPhone overall and certainly for video. These two cams are neck and neck. I used to have a PIxel and now have the iPhone and, camera wise, either gives a really great camera!
