These are things I personally did to build momentum on my own journey. Believe it, or not, I once had an extremely cluttered space and getting started was the hardest step for me take. However 1 thing I've learned is that this journey it truly a lifestyle shift and it takes a different way of thinking and doing to really simplify things for the better.

Other youtubers I watch would get out of the same amount of content 3 videos 15 minutes long each.
You justified every second I spent watching this video. Short and sweet. Respect.

I am not a minimalist nor do I plan to be one, however I am trying to live simply, not be in a hurry, purge, declutter & pay off debt. That's the best I can do & I am feeling better...

I just started a total digital declutter and it can be totally overwhelming but you see progress so clearly. You realize your email inbox went from 6K to 200 and are a bit like "I did that!!!"

I this video and I love hearing you speak Son! I can REALLY needed to hear you say all of what you've said! I have anxiety and to say the least trying to stay alive and away from the possibilities of catching Covid-19 as a senior citizen adds to my anxiety often whenever I have to leave home for food, medicine and packages in the mail. But recently I decided to retire from work although I'm working from home now my job can get pretty stressful and I decided that's not good for my health. Gotta focus on me for a change! I'm officially retiring in the fall and I have anxiety about doing so because I'll be living off of so much less money and I'm already little worried about health care costs, co-pays, deductibles etc. I am going to try listening to your videos every day for encouragement and advice. I actually do enjoy decluttering for other people and sometime enjoy it when I declutter my own apartment when I get in the mood to do so there's no stopping to eat or rest. I declutter in beast mode lol ... but lately I haven't had the mental energy to do so or even do much tidying up at home. I think it could be because I'm depressed and/or grieving several things/events including my normal way of living without the threat of the coronavirus and also grieving 2 people (but I don't feel sad at all) ... had some serious things take place in my life between March and April and I believe that I'm still processing them. But I'm driving myself crazy since I've been working from home ... I'm looking at items that I need to move, organize etc in almost every room in my apartment when normally it wouldn't look like this ... I've even said over the years that I would become a minimalist but haven't gotta to that point seriously yet. I feel stuck to a certain degree with my untidiness. Anyway I will get past this grieving hurdle and/or depression soon (but it's not a sad, can't sleep, crying depression). I'm going to write down what you said and actually watch this video several times and look at some of your other ones tomorrow. God bless you Son! Thank you and stay SAFE!!

i recently lost my job so i'm trying to stay productive and positive while searching for a new one. trying my best to see this as a new beginning. i decluttered my space and rearranged my furniture in my room just for something new and im surprised that even just moving my bed and desk made me feel better. something else im doing is trying to spread positivity, especially right now. instead of just scrolling past things im trying to comment and engage and have active conversations which has been fulfilling. thank you for the video it really got me thinking and inspired :)

Being a minimalist myself, and having seen probably hundreds of videos on the subject, I found your 15 tools/tips very useful and kind of different from what most videos from minimalists suggest. You certainly mentioned things like decluttering, which are the base, but managed to go beyond "classic" advice. Thank you, Ronald, and count a new follower for your channel :)

I want to thank you for all your videos. I have decluttered 16 LARGE bins of stuff from my home over the last month. I still have a long ways to go but I am so motivated, thanks for your help. I am now working on getting rid of lots of furniture.

Thanks for your insight. I had accumulated โ€œenoughโ€ several years ago, and now Iโ€™m trying to purge. Iโ€™m 67 and donโ€™t want to end my life buried in stuff I donโ€™t enjoy or need. Love your videos. Keep them coming.

I don't think you are aware of how happy your videos always make me :) You are always so positive and nice to see, short and to the point. Great advice, some of these ways are hard for me. As always greeting from Zagreb, Croatia :)

I really like your channel. I followed minimalism a few years back but some of the experts (see the minimalists) really started to annoy me. I think they way overstepped their mark and saw themselves as self help gurus here to save the masses. That didn't sit well with me at all. That said, I just discovered your channel and I think you have some of the best points and outlook on minimalism and you have a wonderful way of speaking. Really enjoy your content.

I wouldn't call myself a minimalist but I have followed a number of steps you've listed here. About two years ago I made a number of lifestyle changes that have made a huge difference to my life. Some of the changes were big like stopping alcohol for good (by accident!) and some small like waking up at the same time every single day. I started running again and meditating every morning. I stopped watching TV during the week so I could actually have time to read or talk to my wife. I started being more conscious of my diet. I got rid of loads of clothes and other crap I had accumulated over the years. Not including our mortgage we've been debt free for over ten years and we paid off our mortgage in full three years ago. I don't know what you want to call that but it's worth it no matter label you put on it. Simple, focused, intentional living.
