The improvements on this year’s TB2 heater are amazing!
But I made a mistake: The hot air side flange measures 3.56” in diameter. What I meant to say was a 4” duct will work with a clamp. 4” duct is very common.

I'll be using a diesel heater for my 24' x 24' shop, with the exhaust plumbed through an antique cast iron radiator (which I already have LOL). This would be the perfect design except I can't see why they decided to plumb the exhaust through the "front" with the warm air outlet and with a sharp 90 degree angle like that. From the looks of it though I could easily enough bore a hole in the bottom of the housing and install an exhaust pipe that I can insulate and put in a much more gradual curve to the radiator inlet.

They are such a good brand of heater. I use mine both for camping and industrial stuff. Never once let me down. Strong 12v and allow to go through shut down process and it will last for years!

I don't get why they have the heat output and the exhaust on the same side? I like to bump the heaters up to a wall and exhaust it out threw a hole in the wall. But with this setup you'd be pushing your heat directly at the wall?

Great review. I'm working on my own review right now on this, and I was out looking for some inspiration about the previous version which I did not own so that I could at least have some knowledge of what the improvements are over their previous model. One correction tho is, it's not a 4" hose, its 90mm (which is closer to a 3.5") hose, which is not very common at all. I need to buy some adapters to hook this up the way I want it and they are not as easy to find as I would like.

Looks good, thanks for testing and opening. Does not look like it will need a fuel line upgrade but definitely some type of heat sheathing since it is so close to the exhaust. Is the top control box able to be relocated? Looks super easy to kill it by accidentally spilling fuel on it, not the best location.

Good video - I think I’m gonna get one to go in my camper van conversion - I have a question tho, do you think I could put a hole in the floor of the van for the exhaust but still easily be able to remove the unit and keep it portable - say if I want to use it elsewhere?

Ahaha, now I'm tempted. I have a diesel heater in the van, but this would be great for winter camping. Park it under your lawn chair.
