For the MIG-29 you gotta do “Stick Deflection Override”. It lets you pull the stick back and doesn’t restrict you, stops the “purposing thing”

The cobra is such a death sentence in a combat situation. If you have a fighter behind you and you go vertical you loose all your momentum and become the easiest target for aim-9 sidewinders.

You forgot to dip your nose down and then pull up immediately. That’s how you perform the cobra maneuver.

Cobra maneuver was in Sweden by Swedish pilot flying Swedish plane, so yes, cobra maneuver is possible not only in Russian planes

Fun fact- the su29 was the first plane to perform the cobra (or it might have been the kvochur bell I don’t remember)
